Aurora Walmart reopens after coronavirus outbreak

An Aurora Walmart reopened Sunday after it was shut down due to an outbreak of the novel coronavirus, according to the Tri-County Health Department.

Three deaths and 11 COVID-19 cases have been connected to the store, which was closed Thursday after numerous complaints about conditions inside, health officials said.

The store at 14000 East Exposition was thoroughly cleaned during the two-day closure and has set up appropriate social distancing measures, including signs, one-way aisles, employees wearing masks and an employee screening program for sickness.

A 72-year-old female employee and her 63-year-old husband, who did not work at the store, have died of coronavirus, along with a 69-year-old man who worked at the store as a security guard, employed by an independent security company.
