Replays of classic Rockies games begins Friday with Game 163

Big-league baseball remains benched for the foreseeable future, but Rockies fans can relive some of the team’s best moments.

AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain has released its May schedule of classic Rockies games and the series opens at 7 p.m. Friday with what many consider one of the greatest games in Colorado sports history.

That would be Game 163 of the 2007 season, a thriller that ended with Matt Holliday’s game-winning, crashlanding slide at home plate. The Rockies’ 9-8, 13-inning victory over the San Diego Padres qualified the Rockies for a playoff run that took them to their first and only World Series.

For bonus coverage of Game 163, AT&T SportsNet’s Jenny Cavnar will interview Holliday, via Twitter, during the course of the game (@ATTSportsNetRM).

Beginning Saturday, AT&T SportsNet will replay some of the best walk-off victories in Rockies history.

On May 10, a replay of Game 4 of the 2007 National League Championship Series will be shown. That victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks clinched the Rockies’ only World Series appearance. Beginning May 11, AT&T will replay some of the most memorable pitching performances in Rockies history.
